What Are Classic Lash Extensions? | Classic lashing is a method where one lash extension is glued to one natural lash. This method is also known as 1 to 1 or 1:1. Classic lashes are perfect for clients who already have a lot of lashes, but want to add more length and volume. Classic lashes give a very natural and beautiful look.
What Are Volume Lash Extensions? | Volume lashing is a method when multiple light-weight lashes are applied to one single natural eyelash. If two eyelash extensions are applied to one natural lash it’s described as 2D, if three eyelash extensions are applied to one natural eyelash then it’s described as 3D etc. Volume lashes are lighter, fluffier and give the client a fuller look. Volume lashes are prefect for clients who don't have a lot of lashes, have sparse lashes, bald spots or just want a more dramatic and thicker look.
How Long Do They Really Last? | When properly applied, lash extensions can be worn throughout the year with minimal monthly maintenance. Touch-ups are recommended after the initial full set application in order to refill any lashes that have cycled out. To maintain the full, thick appearance of a new set of lashes, a visit to your beauty/lash professional is recommended every 2-4 weeks based on your own natural lash growth cycle.
Can Lash Extensions Harm Natural Lashes? | When applied properly, lash extensions will NOT harm natural lashes. It is extremely important to find a certified and experienced Lash Technician. Our application technique allows natural lashes to grow and thrive with extensions.
Can Mascara Be Used With Lash Extensions? | Mascara is typically not needed with lash extensions. Mascara should only be used when a touch-up is drawing near. Water-soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the lifespan of lashes. Waterproof mascara is not recommended for use, as it will dissolve the bond with the lashes.
Can I Get My Lash Extensions Wet? | Yes! Healthy lashes are clean lashes. Daily shampooing with a baby shampoo or other oil-free cleanser will keep your lashes clean and free of irritants. Swimming, bathing, and showering are all allowed. Your Lash Technician will go over in detail the proper way to wash your extensions.
